Today was my 5/3/1 day. Initially I didn’t know if I would go to the gym but in the end I did. And why do I mention that? ‘Cause I went at 1am. The good thing about these hours of the day is that you get to park right outside whereas during the day you have to park several blocks away – and when you finally get to the gym its packed with wannabe bodybuilders who don’t have proper gym etiquette. At 1am its almost empty and you get to do pretty much whatever you like.

When the time comes to ask for a spot though at 1am, your options are limited and thats why I’d like to think that I failed with the 150kg. Bad lift off combined with a bit incoordination due to the time = recipe for disaster.

Chicken with Basmati Rice (yes I cooked that myself)

Nevertheless I’m still pretty happy with my strength levels lately. What I’m not happy with is the carb cravings which lately have become somewhat of an issue. The scale has climbed up pretty close to the winter levels and the hunger is still there. And its not quality carbs either lol. I’d say nutrition wise I’m at the lowest point of the last two years regarding food choices. It has to do with the fact that I stay indoors a lot and do various stuff at the computer (such as website designing for various clients) and then I get hungry and eat without remorse. And then I think to myself that my summer vacations for this year are pretty much non existant so why should I care? Just eat, get stronger, diet whenever you feel like it. And thats how things are for the time being…
